SHIPPING AND HANDLING FEES

Shipping and handling fees can vary due to shipping locations, packing requirements (for longer-in-transit orders), and weight variations between orders.  

 You can determine the shipping and handling fees of your order when you're in the Cart by clicking "Add Info" that is next to Shipping:

HOW YOUR TAMALES ARE SHIPPED

Orders with Expedited Shipping will generally take 1-2 days to arrive after being shipped. Please keep in mind that orders can take up to 2-4 business days to process.

 Orders with Rush Shipping will generally take 1 day to arrive after being shipped. Please keep in mind that orders can take up to 1-3 business days to process. 

 We process and ship Expedited orders Monday - Wednesday

Your order will ship through UPS.

HOW YOUR TAMALES ARE PACKED

Your tamales will be packed in a thick-sided Recyclable EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) cooler with DRY ICE PACKS and dry ice to keep them cold (often frozen), so they won't spoil during transit.  Make sure to place your tamales in the freezer or refrigerator as soon as you receive them.

 

Your order will come in packs of up to 6 tamales per vacuum-sealed bag, and will stay fresh for at least 21 days in the refrigerator, and at least 12 months in the freezer.

 

WHEN YOUR TAMALES ARE SHIPPED

Our designated shipping days are Mondays, Tuesdays, & Wednesdays.

  With standard shipping orders, we cannot guarantee specific delivery dates, however, we do our best to meet deadlines whenever possible.

Me Gusta Gourmet Tamales is a family owned business established in 1999 by the Ortega Family. Armed with a dream to better his family's way of life and a secret recipe, Roberto Ortega Senior and his wife, have gradually grown this company from a small restaurant location in San Fernando to a 10,000sqft. USDA approved tamale facility in Pacoima (Ca). Roberto Ortega Senior and his wife, have always stayed true to their vision and have pushed their family to provide a high quality, great tasting product to their customers..

Awards

This great family recipe for tamales has earned them the First and Second Place atthe Los Angeles International Tamale Festival (2006 & 2007) and the IndioFestival (2005 & 2006) for their Beef, Pork, Chili and Cheese, Vegetarian andSweet Pineapple Tamales; as well as "People's Choice" for the best tasting tamale and the best industrial tamale. Recently since 2023, we've won so many awards it's getting hard to keep up but every year we're always competing to be reigning champs!
